Mall of America
The Butterfly Effect partnered with the American Cancer Society and the Mall of America to conduct 5,000 Butterfly Drops at Race for the Cure events worldwide. Each person who found a butterfly artistically decorated the front and wrote their personal cancer story on the back. These heartfelt stories transformed the butterflies into powerful symbols of hope and resilience.
The decorated butterflies were collected and assembled by Tasha and her team into a stunning large-scale installation displayed at the Mall of America. This installation became a beautiful and moving tribute, not only for those who found and shared their stories but also for the thousands of visitors who had the opportunity to experience the display. As people walked through the installation, they were deeply moved and inspired by the shared experiences of survivors, caregivers, and those affected by cancer. The vibrant, artful butterflies served as a testament to the strength and unity of the community, fostering a sense of connection and hope for all who witnessed it.
